I launched screen
like I always do,
To juggle tasks and split my view.
But something stirred β unseen, obsceneβ
A creeping glitch between each screen.
My panes went black, then flashed with fire,
With πππππ that danced and climbed up higher.
No ctrl-a could wrangle fate,
No screen -ls
could clean the state.
I scrolled back logs: pure babble, cursedβ
Shell prompts reversed, encodings burst.
One window hissed, the fonts decayed,
And Zalgo whispered: "You should've used tmux instead..."
Detached the session. Killed the PID.
Still echoes from the depths amid.
He bound my shell with bytes unclean.
I close my eyesβ
he's in my ~/.screenrc
