I launched screen like I always do,
To juggle tasks and split my view.
But something stirred – unseen, obscene–
A creeping glitch between each screen.

My panes went black, then flashed with fire,
With π–’π–†π–—π–π–˜ that danced and climbed up higher.
No ctrl-a could wrangle fate,
No screen -ls could clean the state.

I scrolled back logs: pure babble, cursed–
Shell prompts reversed, encodings burst.
One window hissed, the fonts decayed,
And Zalgo whispered: "You should've used tmux instead..."

Detached the session. Killed the PID.
Still echoes from the depths amid.
He bound my shell with bytes unclean.
I close my eyes–
he's in my ~/.screenrc.
